Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? If so, then you should consider getting involved with the Healthy Minds Apprenticeship program!
The Healthy Minds Apprenticeship program is a unique opportunity for young people to gain experience in the mental health field. Through this program, you will have the chance to learn from experts in the field, to work with other young people who are passionate about mental health, and to make a real difference in the lives of others.
If you are interested in getting involved with the Healthy Minds Apprenticeship program, then there are a few things that you need to do.
First, you need to be a young person between the ages of 16 and 24.
Second, you need to be passionate about mental health and helping others.
Third, you need to be willing to commit to a year-long program.
Finally, you must live within the Bradford area.
If you meet these requirements, then we encourage you to apply for the Healthy Minds Apprenticeship program!
Here are some of the specific things you can do as a Healthy Minds Apprentice:
Presenting school and college workshops:
You can share your knowledge and experience of mental health with young people in schools and colleges. You can help them to understand mental health, to develop coping strategies, and to access support.
Co-production and Co-design:
You can work with other young people and with professionals to develop new mental health services and resources. You can help to ensure that these services are relevant to the needs of young people.
Reviewing and auditing services:
You can review the quality of mental health services and resources. You can identify areas where services can be improved.
Placements and training opportunities:
You can gain experience working in a range of mental health settings. You can also receive training in mental health and in other relevant areas.
Youth work and community action:
You can work with young people in your community to raise awareness of mental health and to promote positive mental health. You can also help young people to access support.
Raising awareness of mental health:
You can raise awareness of mental health in your community. You can do this through public speaking, writing, social media, and other activities.
Promote youth voice and advocacy:
You can promote the voice and advocacy of young people in mental health. You can do this by speaking out about mental health issues, by working with policymakers, and by supporting other young people to advocate for themselves.
